I’m thankful for…
(in no particular order)
.) Terry Pratchett
.) heavy cream in a mug of good coffee
.) the laughter of my husband and son
.) Jenny Crusie
.) the existence of wool yarn and knitting needles
.) and on that note, the Yarn Harlot and Elizabeth Zimmermann
.) Lois McMaster Bujold
.) Christopher Moore
.) the Coen brothers
.) skeptics
.) compassionate and open-hearted people of faith
.) Stephen King
.) John Scalzi
.) small amounts of dark chocolate on a really shitty day
.) my right to vote, to speak my mind, and to choose how to live my own damn life
Obviously, I’m deeply thankful for many more things and people, but right this moment, these are the top ones that come to mind. And yep, I know writers seem to weigh heavily on the list. Books are my favorite addiction, always have been. Caffeine and yarn come close, but since the addiction started when I was still too young to indulge in either of those much, books win. Yay!
